Are 24-hour coin laundromats in Seoul strictly cash-only?
Staying at an Airbnb in Yeonnam-dong with no dryer. Do neighborhood coin laundromats (Laundromat / 빨래방) take credit cards, or do I need 500-won coins?

Most modern laundromats (Cleantopia, Wash Friends, Coin Wash 24) now feature touchscreen payment kiosks that accept foreign credit cards (Visa, Mastercard). However, older residential coin laundromats only take 500-won coins. There is always a coin exchange machine on-site, but it only converts 1,000 / 5,000 / 10,000 KRW paper banknotes into 500-won coins. Keep at least 10,000 KRW in small bills handy just in case.
