Plan the Namiseom crossing

The island is administratively in Chuncheon, but the normal visitor gateway is the Namiseom wharf in Gapyeong. Plan the trip as three legs: travel to Gapyeong, reach the wharf, then cross to the island.

• Use the Gapyeong wharf as the navigation destination, not a road route to the island's Chuncheon address. The official directions page lists the wharf at 1024 Bukhangangbyeon-ro, Gapyeong-eup.
• Gapyeong Station and the intercity bus terminal are about 1.5 km from the wharf. The official guide lists walking, local bus and taxi as onward options; recheck live transport information before departure.
• The standard crossing is by ferry and takes only a few minutes, but ticketing, waiting and boarding add time. Confirm the current admission and ferry schedule on the official pages rather than using an old blog timetable.
• Weather and river conditions can affect individual facilities or, in unusual conditions, ferry operation. Check the official homepage notices on the morning of the visit and keep flexibility in the return plan.

Visitor caution: A Seoul day trip includes multiple transfers and a water crossing. Leave a return buffer, especially on weekends, in poor weather or when combining the island with another Gapyeong attraction.
