This Silla palace-and-pond site is also widely remembered by its former name, Anapji. The official name is Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, and the evening lighting makes arrival timing an important choice.

• Search the official name and the address at 102 Wonhwa-ro. 'Anapji' may still appear in older guides, but it refers to this same historic site.
• If night scenery is the priority, arrive before the desired light rather than at the final admission window. Ticketing, entry queues and the walk around the pond all require additional time.
• Opening hours, last admission and fees can change, so verify them on Gyeongju City's current attraction page on the day instead of copying an old itinerary.
• The site sits within Gyeongju's connected historic-area walking network. Use the official city map to combine it with Cheomseongdae, Wolseong or the National Museum without unnecessary vehicle transfers.
