What happened through August 23
YG Entertainment’s August 10 announcement describes a BIGBANG 20th-anniversary program spread across the Jamsil area in Seoul. The program included archival and behind-the-scenes media at the Art Hall on the sixth floor of AVENUEL Jamsil, an associated merchandise shop on basement level one of Lotte World Mall, and limited collaboration desserts. These were venue activities, not additional concert performances.
The connecting bridge on level five between AVENUEL and Lotte World Mall hosts an interactive “COSMOS” element. Visitors can submit a message on a tablet and see it translated into an Arecibo-code-inspired visualization. YG also announced light-stick-inspired lighting and a crown installation around the eastern section and waterside stage of Seokchon Lake. The special August 19 lighting ceremony has already passed, so do not mistake old promotional posts for a future schedule.
Do not confuse Jamsil with the ended Goyang concerts
BIGBANG’s world-tour opening concerts took place at Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi-do on August 21, 22 and 23. Jamsil is in southeastern Seoul and was not the concert venue. The separate Koursea Goyang concert record preserves the dated showtimes, identity checks, weather planning and stadium address as an archive; do not reuse those details for a future tour stop.
What began on August 24
The official BIGBANG community page lists the main “COSMOS” 20th-anniversary media exhibition from Monday, August 24 through Sunday, September 27. This is a separate date range from the August 14–23 Jamsil-area prequel program. Visitors arriving after August 23 should use the main exhibition notice rather than assuming every pop-up element at Jamsil continues.
Before you go
- Confirm the event date on an official YG or BIGBANG page.
- Save the exact venue or floor, not only the word “Jamsil.”
- Expect merchandise and food stock to change without notice.
- Do not buy unofficial resale tickets or assume a social-media repost is current.
- Use a live Korean map for the final route and allow for weekend queues.
How to plan a short Jamsil visit
For a focused stop, begin with the official listing for the element you care about and note its floor before entering the mall complex. AVENUEL, Lotte World Mall and Seokchon Lake are close, but they are not one room or one queue. Keep a screenshot of the official notice for orientation, then follow current signs and staff directions inside the property.
The Goyang concerts have ended, so they are no longer part of a Jamsil day plan. Visitors considering the separately dated main media exhibition should verify same-day access, the exact floor, hours and any reservation requirement on the live official notice before travelling. Do not infer current admission or merchandise availability from photos or reports about the ended prequel.
This brief does not claim admission guarantees, merchandise availability or surprise appearances. It translates confirmed announcements into a practical location-and-date decision for visitors.
TAEYANG fan moment in Taipei
This creator-recorded Short shows a fan interaction connected to TAEYANG’s Taipei visit. Event organizer FANME lists the QUINTESSENCE Taipei offline fansign as held on June 26, 2026, so this is an ended-event clip—not notice of a new appearance. For future fansigns, rely on the organizer’s current identity, purchase and entry rules rather than assuming that one attendee’s experience will repeat.
