Privacy Policy
This policy explains the information Koursea uses when you browse the site, choose analytics, sign in, or submit content. Koursea is operated by Hajoon Mun. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to khforbk@gmail.com.
Information used
- Browsing and analytics: page views, approximate location, device/browser information, referral source, scrolling, outbound clicks and related usage events are collected by Google Analytics only after you allow it in the consent notice.
- Advertising conversion tracking: when you allow it in the consent notice, the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok Pixel record page views and account sign-up completion so Koursea can measure and improve the performance of its advertising campaigns. This data is shared with Meta subject to their Custom Audience Terms and with TikTok subject to its applicable advertising terms. Declining the consent notice keeps this disabled.
- Account and personalization: an email address is used by Supabase to send a one-time sign-in link and maintain your session. A self-declared visitor type and home-country/region code are used to determine whether the international-visitor account flow is available. Optional travel interests are used to provide faster links to relevant guides, places and community discussions.
- Optional public content: display name, reviews, ratings, posts, replies and business submissions are used to provide the feature you choose to use.
- Operational records: timestamps, technical logs and reports may be used for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
Why information is used
Koursea uses information to provide authentication and community features, secure and troubleshoot the service, understand which visitor information is useful, improve navigation and respond to reports or privacy requests. Koursea does not currently sell personal information.
Service providers and international processing
Koursea uses Supabase for authentication and database services, Vercel for website delivery, Google AdSense to display advertising, Google Analytics, Meta and TikTok when analytics and advertising consent is granted. These providers may process information outside your country under their own infrastructure and privacy terms. Account and submitted-content data is processed through the configured Supabase project; static site requests and logs may be processed by the hosting provider.
Storage and deletion
Account information is kept while the account is active. User-submitted content remains until it is deleted, the associated account is closed, or retention is required to investigate abuse or comply with law. Technical and analytics records follow the applicable provider settings. You may request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent or account closure by contacting Koursea.
Public content
Reviews, posts, replies and display names submitted to a public feature can be visible to other visitors. Do not publish sensitive personal, medical, payment or identification information. A report does not guarantee immediate removal; Koursea reviews the context and available evidence.
Cookies and browser storage
Authentication uses browser session storage. The consent tool stores your analytics choice. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel are not loaded through Koursea's consent script until you select “Allow analytics.” You can clear stored choices through your browser.
Advertising
Koursea displays advertising through Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, and its advertising partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) and similar technologies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and you may opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
Age
Koursea's account flow is for users aged 14 or older. Browsing public visitor information does not require an account.
Security and limits
Koursea uses access controls and one-time sign-in links, but no online service can promise absolute security. If you believe information has been exposed or misused, contact us promptly.
Changes
The effective date will be updated when this policy materially changes. A current link remains available from the site footer.
