Seongsu's flagship stores are built to be photographed and lingered in, not just shopped -- plan more time than a normal drugstore stop.

Tip: Amore Seongsu limits some in-store experience stations to a same-day reservation made on-site -- check the ground-floor kiosk the moment you arrive rather than after browsing.

The three flagships, and what makes each one different

Amore Seongsu is Amorepacific's standalone concept space, built around a central stone-and-water courtyard with rotating installations upstairs; it is closer to a small museum than a shop, and it sells and lets you sample across the group's full brand roster (Innisfree, Laneige, Sulwhasoo, Hera and others) rather than pushing one label. Tamburins is a fragrance-and-skincare brand with its own gallery-style flagship a short walk away, known for sculptural product displays and a rotating art exhibition on the upper floor -- come for the atmosphere and the brand's niche perfumes as much as for skincare. Olive Young N Seongsu is the multi-brand retailer's flagship-format store, larger and more curated than a standard Olive Young branch, with dedicated zones for indie K-beauty labels that don't always stock in ordinary outlets.

A walking order that avoids backtracking

All three sit within Seongsu's converted-warehouse district, reachable from Seongsu Station (Line 2) or Ttukseom Station:

  • Start at Amore Seongsu first while you have the most energy for its multi-floor layout and any same-day experience bookings.
  • Walk to Tamburins next -- it's a compact space, so 20-30 minutes is usually enough unless the current exhibition draws a line.
  • Finish at Olive Young N Seongsu, since it's the most practical stop for stocking up and its checkout (including tax refund processing) takes longer than the other two.

What to actually buy at each stop

Prices at all three match standard Korean retail -- these aren't discount outlets, so don't expect flagship-exclusive markdowns.

  1. At Amore Seongsu, look for limited pouch sets and brand collaborations sold only at this location, not the standard lineup available at any Olive Young.
  2. At Tamburins, the fragrance and hand-cream lines are the standout; skincare is a smaller, pricier selection than a general beauty retailer.
  3. At Olive Young N, this is the place for bulk restocking and immediate tax refund at checkout with your passport -- the smaller flagships nearby don't always process it as smoothly.
