Busan Subway Line 2 runs along a route that conveniently touches several of the city's most popular coastal and shopping districts, making it possible to plan a full beach-and-shopping day without needing a taxi or car. Stations along the line sit within easy walking distance of the main beach entrances, which is a genuine advantage over some of Busan's less centrally connected coastal spots.

Haeundae and Gwangalli

• Haeundae Beach, Busan's most famous stretch of sand, is a short walk from its namesake Line 2 station, with a wide promenade lined with cafes and restaurants.
• Gwangalli Beach, known for its night view of the Gwangan Bridge, is reachable via a nearby Line 2 stop followed by a short walk or local bus connection.

Centum City

It also functions as a convenient shopping stop if you didn't pack for an evening out at Gwangalli.

Planning the route

A logical order for a single day is to start at Haeundae in the morning, move to Centum City for a midday break, and finish at Gwangalli in the evening to catch the bridge lighting, all connected by the same Line 2 corridor without needing to backtrack across the city. Building in extra time between stops is worth it, since each beach area rewards lingering rather than a rushed visit.

Weekday visits are noticeably calmer at all three stops, particularly at Haeundae during the peak summer beach season, when weekend crowds can make it harder to find open space along the sand. Pairing this route with an evening seafood meal near Gwangalli rounds out the day nicely, since several well-regarded restaurants sit within easy reach of the beach itself.
