Getting to Yeongdo

Yeongdo Island is connected to central Busan by bridge, making it reachable by bus or taxi from Nampo-dong in a short ride rather than requiring a boat crossing despite technically being an island. Its relative distance from the main subway network is part of why it has retained a quieter, more local character compared to more heavily touristed parts of Busan.

Bringing cash is still a sensible precaution at some of the smaller, family-run cafes, even though card acceptance has grown across the neighborhood in recent years.

A local bus loop connects the village to the rest of Yeongdo, making it easy to continue on to other island sights afterward without doubling back through central Busan first.
