Social account data deletion

This page explains how to disconnect an Instagram or Threads account from Koursea and request deletion of data received through Meta APIs.

Disconnect access first

You can remove Koursea from the connected apps or business integrations section of the relevant Meta account. Removing access stops future authorized API access but may not delete information already stored by Koursea.

Request deletion from Koursea

  1. Open the Koursea contact page.
  2. State that the request concerns “Meta social account data deletion.”
  3. Provide the email address used with Koursea and the Instagram or Threads username that was connected. Do not send a password, access token, government ID, or payment information.
  4. We will verify the request using the minimum information reasonably necessary and confirm completion or explain any legally required retention.
What we delete: stored social-account identifiers, authorized profile metadata, access tokens, imported links or media metadata associated with the connection, and internal connection logs that are not required for security or legal compliance.

Timing and exceptions

Verified requests are processed as promptly as reasonably possible. Some minimal records may be retained when necessary to protect account security, investigate abuse, meet a legal obligation, or document completion of the deletion request. Any retained record is restricted to that purpose.

Important limits

Deleting data from Koursea does not delete the original Instagram or Threads account or content hosted by Meta. Use the relevant Meta account controls for deletion from those services.
