Korea extended the current temporary K-ETA exemption through December 31, 2026 for countries and regions already covered. Eligibility is passport-specific; the official application flow displays an exemption notice after passport scanning. Travelers who voluntarily obtain a valid K-ETA may receive arrival-card benefits, but fees are non-refundable. Visa holders follow their visa conditions.

Complete the correct arrival declaration

Travelers who need an arrival declaration can use Korea’s official e-Arrival Card within the allowed pre-arrival window. Prepare passport details, flight information, Korean accommodation name and address, and reachable contact information. Do not invent a 010 number; use the hotel’s published telephone number when appropriate.

Treat Q-Code as conditional, not universal

Quarantine and health declarations can be activated or changed in response to disease risks and travel history. Q-Code or a health questionnaire is not a permanent identical requirement for every arrival. Check the current Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency and airline instructions shortly before departure.

Run the screener twice

Use the widget during planning and again within 72 hours of travel. It produces a checklist, not permission to board or enter. Save confirmation pages offline, keep the accommodation details accessible, and follow border-officer instructions if electronic records cannot be retrieved.
