• KT: generally considered to have the most tourist-facing counters and the most straightforward English signage across both terminals.
• SKT: Korea's largest carrier by network size, with counters in the arrival halls; plans are broadly comparable in price to KT's tourist SIM offerings.
• LG U+: the smallest of the three by market share, sometimes running slightly lower prices on comparable data plans, with fewer but still present airport counters.

What to check before you buy

1. Bring your passport -- it's required for SIM registration under Korean telecom rules, regardless of which carrier you choose.
2. Confirm the exact data allowance and validity period (many tourist SIMs are fixed-duration, e.g. 5, 10 or 30 days) rather than assuming it renews or tops up automatically.
3. Ask specifically whether the SIM includes a Korean phone number capable of receiving verification texts, since some tourist-only SIMs are data-only and won't support Korean app sign-ups that need SMS verification.
4. Queues can build right after major international flights land -- if your flight arrives during a peak window, budget extra time or consider ordering a SIM for airport pickup in advance through the carrier's site.
