Search the exact origin, destination and date, then compare departure time, train type and travel time. KTX can sell out on weekends and holidays. Avoid screenshots of third-party timetables and verify whether a reseller adds restrictions or fees.

Read every ticket field before payment

• Departure station and city—similarly named stations may be far apart.
• Date, departure time and train number.
• Car and seat number, passenger count and fare conditions.
• Refund or change deadline and payment record.

Save the ticket offline while keeping the original booking available in the official channel. Carry the identification and payment evidence requested by the booking terms.

Arrive before the platform is urgent

1. Navigate to the correct station entrance, not merely the district.
2. Check the live departure board for train number and platform.
3. Stand near the marked car position and let passengers exit first.
4. Place large baggage only where permitted without blocking doors or aisles.
5. Sit in the assigned seat and keep the ticket ready for inspection.

Ask staff before boarding a different train

If the train is missed, delayed or changed, do not assume the ticket is valid on the next service. Use the staffed counter or official channel. Protect the last local connection at the destination and keep an accommodation contact if arrival will be late.
